The first phase is my 4D product creation process is to discover. During this phase I, work with stakeholders to understand the value proposition behind the business and product. I also do a competitive analysis on similar products.
The second phase of my 4D process is to define the pain points users are experiencing. This could be a pain point from a different product or an every day problem this product can solve. Through the interview process, I seek to gain key insights that the design team will need to overcome.
I begin the design phase with problems-solving. How do we address the pain points and work through complex business objectives? This phase involves creating wireframes, doing an A/B analysis, and putting together mockups and prototypes.
My job is not over when the Figma file is complete. I not only work with developers and engineers to ensure pixel-perfect deliver, I often take a leadership role in guilding the developers through the process until launch. I get involved in testing and get more feedback from users.
